Menopause does not arrive nor leave on a glittering disco ball in the manner of Madonna (2020). It is not something we are attuned to look forward to, rather, we are orientated to fear or at least feel apprehensive about this period of life. We are about to decline, to fail, to cease, be absent in our lives, or so some discourse may tell us. This presentation explores the narratives and experiences of women who have taken part in my research, contributing to a deeper understanding of the nuanced ways in which women navigate the intersection of ageing, emotional well-being and tweakments.
This session will consider key issues and implications relating to and arising from the Westminster Government’s proposals for the implementation of new premises and practitioner licenses for aesthetic practice in England. Key information will be provided on what to expect from the new license with regard to education and training and practice competence development requirements, along with other key statutory standards. Delegates will be presented with a range of updates on how we anticipate the new license to operate and function. A timeline for the implementation of the license will be proposed. Importantly issues relating to supervision, prescribing and product supply will also be considered.
